WELCOME to the Wolfson High School Visual Arts website.
ALL Art Courses have a take home project fee that should be paid the first week of class. Students must pay the take home project fee to get their Art Journal. Check the individual art course to see the amount of the fee and what the fee covers for the year.
ALL Journals, portfolios, and artwork at the end of the year is given to the students to take home.

All of the art courses taught at Wolfson are honors level and are designed to explore art making techniques and visual literacy. Visual literacy is the ability to understand, interpret and make meaning from information presented in works of art. Learning to read and understand a work of art is not always simple. The students will research and write about art using required art terms as they increase their understanding visual literacy. Art students will design, make, and write about their own works of art .

Grading for Pre-IB and IB will be based upon requirements in the IB curriculum and Florida Visual Art Standards

Cornell notes & MINDMAPS
Students will be taking notes using Cornell notes and making MindMaps that will be put in their Visual Art Journal. Specific required Cornell note worksheets and MindMaps are on the individual course pages.
